The Stevenson Spartans will face off against the Thurston Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Stevenson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Stevenson is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since April 18th on Wednesday. They came up short against Salem, falling 14-4. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Spartans, who until this contest were averaging 4.09 runs allowed.

Stevenson saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Allevato, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Thurston got the win against Ypsilanti on Wednesday by a conclusive 18-8. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Stevenson's loss dropped their record down to 21-13. As for Thurston, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
