Fort Edward waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Hadley Luzerne Eagles 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-13, 25-20.

Rue Quarters paced Fort Edward's offense, picking up ten kills. Quarters got some help from Kyley Varney and her 20 assists. Addison Chester controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the loss, Hadley Luzerne saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Samantha Case had 13 digs. Case is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Fort Edward's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Hadley Luzerne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Fort Edward didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Hartford Central on the 15th. As for Hadley Luzerne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Granville on the 15th.
