Fossil Ridge faced Windsor in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The SaberCats put the hurt on the Wizards with a sharp 3-0 win. The SaberCats haven't had any issues with the Wizards recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Fossil Ridge's got stronger as the match went on, holding Windsor to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-22, 25-19.

Fossil Ridge's offense was headlined by Kamryn Margison and Olivia Ewing, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Sarah Reinhart and her 36 assists. Finally, Ewing was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Windsor lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Avery Smiley, who had 27 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hallie Burroughs, who had 17 assists and seven digs.

Fossil Ridge's record now sits at 17-2. As for Windsor, they moved to 12-4 with that defeat, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fossil Ridge will square off against Poudre at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Windsor, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against University at 6:30 p.m.
