Football Game Preview: Hatch Valley Bears vs. Socorro Warriors + How To Watch

The Hatch Valley Bears will challenge the Socorro Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hatch Valley has given up an average of 26.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hatch Valley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against New Mexico Military Institute, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bears fell just short of the Colts by a score of 36-33 on Friday.

Despite the loss, Hatch Valley got top-tier performance from David Dumas, who rushed for 157 yards on only 12 carries, and also picked up 48 receiving yards. The Bears are 2-1 when Dumas posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

Hatch Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Demarcus Alaniz.

Meanwhile, Socorro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 41-0 to Hot Springs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Socorro's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hatch Valley, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
