Corry finds home court redemption against Eisenhower

Recap: Corry Beavers vs. Eisenhower Knights

There's no place like home for the Corry Beavers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Eisenhower on Saturday and snuck past 41-39. That's another feather in the cap for Corry, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Eisenhower's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clara Steinberg, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Steinberg scored a full 38.5% of Eisenhower's points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Samantha Childs, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Corry pushed their record up to 4-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Eisenhower, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corry will take on Oil City at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Oil City is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Eisenhower, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Girard at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Girard is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
