Shadow Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Apollo Hawks, falling 66-44. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-53 two weeks ago.

Jalen Harris and Beau Curtis certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Harris went 6-for-13 on his way to 15 points and five boards, while Curtis posted nine points. That's the most points Harris has posted since back in December of 2024.

Cristian Acevedo was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds for Apollo. Acevedo is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 62% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Joe Sumpter, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 14 points.

Shadow Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Apollo, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Shadow Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-41 victory against Valley Vista on the 12th. Apollo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
