Commerce came out on top against Afton on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run first inning. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Eagles. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Commerce's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Afton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Commerce is set to challenge their familiar foe Wyandotte at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Afton will face off against rival Ketchum at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are on a 12-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and the Warriors a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.
