Basketball Recap: Orange Glen Takes a Loss

Orange Glen lost against Rock Academy last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Orange Glen Patriots took a 25-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock Academy Warriors.

Rock Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nevaeha Noguera led the charge by putting up six points and three steals. What's more, Noguera also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in January.

Orange Glen dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Rock Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Orange Glen will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on San Ysidro at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. After both having extra time off, Rock Academy and High Tech CV will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. High Tech CV's defense has only allowed 24.8 points per game this season, so Rock Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
