There's no place like home for Greenbrier, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Screven County Gamecocks on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-2 win. Considering the Wolfpack have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Avery Bankston was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Addie Thouvenot was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Maggie Bryant, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Greenbrier's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Screven County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-4.
