Baseball Recap: Cazenovia Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Cazenovia won against Marcellus on Friday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Lakers didn't even let the DeRuyter Rockets on the board, marking the Lakers' second-straight 10-0 shutout. This was payback for the Lakers, who suffered a 4-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for Cazenovia and bumps their season record up to 6-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for DeRuyter, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cazenovia will host Morrisville-Eaton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for DeRuyter, they will be playing at home against Brookfield Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
