Baseball Recap: Penfield Takes a Loss

If Penfield was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Victor on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilton Cadets on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

George Tajc was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

Penfield's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Hilton, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

As of now, neither Penfield nor the Cadets have any future games scheduled.
