Soccer Game Preview: Jefferson County vs. Evans

The Jefferson County Warriors will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Evans Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jefferson County's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Greene County as Jefferson County made off with a 10-0 victory. The Warriors have beaten the Tigers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Evans had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They beat Aquinas by a goal, winning 2-1. The Knights wouldn't have won without Jeremiah Sturkey, who scored the game-winner.
