Soccer Recap: Anamosa Gets the Win

Anamosa took a three-goal loss the last time they faced off against West Branch, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raiders won by a goal and slipped past the Bears 2-1. For Anamosa, this counts as revenge for the 5-2 victory West Branch walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Anamosa has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six games. As for West Branch, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 7-7-2.

Looking ahead, Anamosa will head out on the road to face off against Central DeWitt at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Branch has already played their next contest (against Louisa-Muscatine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
