Baseball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Harvester Christian Academy

Harvester Christian Academy proved they can win big last Friday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Atlanta Jewish Academy Jaguar 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Jaguar: they've now won six in a row.

Lleyton Tsai and Greg Stoeckig made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Tsai pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Stoeckig didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. At bat, Tsai scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Stoeckig scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-3. Tsai also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zade Dunlap, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Auston Young also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Harvester Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Harvester Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Atlanta Jewish Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
