Softball Recap: West Branch Drops Season-High Score on Midland

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Branch). They were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over the Midland Eagles on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

West Branch's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Midland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.

West Branch has already played their next match, a 9-5 defeat against Wilton on the 30th. As for Midland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Alburnett on the 30th.
