Football Recap: Simpson Academy Takes a Loss

Simpson Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Parklane Academy Pioneers and fell 48-19. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Pioneers are ranked 21st).

Simpson Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Parklane Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simpson Academy will host Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parklane Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Silliman Institute at 7:00 p.m.
