Baseball Recap: Wauseon Indians vs. Wayne Trace Raiders

Wauseon let Wayne Trace stack four runs on them in the first inning on Thursday but luckily Wauseon prevailed anyway. The Indians skirted past the Raiders 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Cam Sherman looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Thad Reckner, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double. Maddox Schneider was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Wauseon hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.
