Basketball Recap: Terra Linda Takes a Loss

Terra Linda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kennedy Titans.

Kennedy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Payton Siquig out in front who went 7 of 16 en route to 22 points and three steals. Siquig has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Catherine Cheng, who posted 14 points and eight rebounds.

Terra Linda's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

When Terra Linda and Kennedy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Terra Linda will challenge San Marin and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Kennedy will try to stop Vallejo's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
