            Softball Recap: Worth County Rams vs. Cairo Syrupmakers        
        
		
        
        
            Worth County barely beat Cairo the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams' pitcher stepped up to hand the Syrupmakers  a   13-0 shutout  on Monday. With that  win, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.2  runs per game.
 Laurie Pritchard was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over four innings pitched. Pritchard was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI and two  doubles.

 In other batting news,  Molly Williford was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  runs and two  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Isabelle Hancock, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Worth County  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .594. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Worth County's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Cairo, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Looking ahead, Worth County will be playing at home against Cook  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Cairo, they will face off against Dougherty at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
