Softball Recap: Southern Boone Takes a Loss

South Harrison hit Southern Boone with a five-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles fell 9-5 to the Bulldogs. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Drew Wren was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run was her first of the season.

Southern Boone's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for South Harrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Southern Boone will challenge Helias at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Harrison, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Hickman at 11:00 a.m.
