Baseball Recap: Dirigo Triumphs

Dirigo lost to Mount Abram back in May of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Cougars came out on top against the Roadrunners by a score of 6-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

The team relied heavily on Colin Waugh, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Lufkin, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Dirigo's record now sits at 5-8. As for Mount Abram, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dirigo will venture away from home to square off against Boothbay at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Seahawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.36 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mount Abram, they will head out to face off against Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
