Football Recap: Snow Canyon Wins High-Profile Game Against Pine View

Snow Canyon faced Pine View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over the Panthers. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Parker Olson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 333 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 84.8% of his passes, and also rushing for 55 yards and two touchdowns. A healthy portion of Olson's aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Brett Bethers, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Pine View lost, don't look at Levi Shaw. Despite the final result, he threw for 239 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The win made it two in a row for Snow Canyon and bumps their season record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.0 points over those games. As for Pine View, they moved to 4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Snow Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 28-21 loss against Crimson Cliffs on the 26th. As for Pine View, they have also already played their next matchup, a 31-27 win against Hurricane on the 26th.
