Mesa Ridge is a perfect 6-0 against Sierra since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Grizzlies will venture away from home to take on the Stallions at 4:00 p.m. Mesa Ridge will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
On Tuesday, Mesa Ridge made easy work of Palmer and carried off a 17-2 victory. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Kaitlyn Fielder made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in September. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Bolander was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in September. Elexiyah Montoya was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Mesa Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Sierra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Mitchell, falling 30-17. On the bright side, the 17- run performance marked the Stallions' highest-scoring matchup to date.
Maritza Enriquez led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Tatyanna Craft, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and one stolen base.
Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Mesa Ridge, their record now sits at 9-7-1.
Sierra's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mesa Ridge has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Sierra, though, as they've been averaging 11.8 hits. Given Mesa Ridge's sizable advantage in that area, the Stallions will need to find a way to close that gap.
Mesa Ridge took their win against Sierra in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
