Basketball Recap: Boiling Springs Has No Trouble Against Susquehanna Township

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Boiling Springs had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-27 victory over the Susquehanna Township HANNA. This was a revenge game for the Bubblers: when they faced off against the HANNA back in February, they had to take a 49-44 loss.

Molly Kimmel continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 19 rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 18 games she's played. Gillian Mandell was another key player, putting up ten points.

Boiling Springs was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are a perfect 17-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

The win made it two in a row for Boiling Springs and bumps their season record up to 20-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points on average over those games. As for Susquehanna Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Coming up, Boiling Springs will take on Audenried at 3:30 p.m. on March 8th. Audenried knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Boiling Springs likes a good challenge. Susquehanna Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
