Softball Recap: Platte County Comes Up Short

Platte County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kearney Bearcats.

Platte County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Kearney, their record is now 16-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Platte County will challenge Chrisman at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kearney, they will head out to square off against Lincoln Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Silver Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Bearcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
