Baseball Game Preview: Dunlap Eagles vs. Washington Panthers

Dunlap is 0-10 against Washington since May of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Eagles will host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Dunlap is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Dunlap had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Galesburg on Friday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Silver Streaks. Considering the Eagles have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Washington owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Galesburg. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Silver Streaks: they've now won five in a row.

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Dunlap, their win bumped their record up to 20-4.

Dunlap couldn't quite finish off Washington in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 and fell 3-1. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
