Basketball Recap: Chaparral Falls to St. Margaret's in First Game of Season

Chaparral kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Margaret's Tartans.

Chaparral's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zetta Faasua, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Rashidi, who posted ten points.

The win got St. Margaret's back to even at 1-1.

Chaparral has already played their next matchup, a 60-29 victory against University City on the 21st. As for St. Margaret's, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-37 loss against Village Christian on the 22nd.
