Softball Recap: Fairview Falls Short of Mangum in the Playoffs

Fairview and Mangum squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Fairview had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 17-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Yellowjackets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Fairview's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Mangum, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

Fairview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mangum, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-0 defeat against Dale on the 25th.
