Newcastle had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Perkins-Tryon Demons with a sharp 14-4 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Racers in their matchups with the Demons: they've now won eight in a row.

Perkins-Tryon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
