Baseball Recap: Hardaway Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Hardaway's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Jordan Red Jackets 4-3. While the Hawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Hardaway's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was A'Nazhe Purnell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Hardaway's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Jordan, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Hardaway will take on Shaw at 5:30 p.m. on March 11th. As for Jordan, they will square off against Sumter County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
