Monroe came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-1 to the Dexter Dreadnaughts. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Dreadnaughts: they've now lost six in a row.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 12-21-2. As for Dexter, they pushed their record up to 23-8 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Dreadnaughts beat Monroe by a score of 17-3 later that day.
