Escondido Charter came tearing into Wednesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 71-35 victory over the Classical Academy Caimans. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Escondido Charter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Azalea Vilaysing, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 23 points and four steals. What's more, Vilaysing also posted a 53% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Zoha Shahriyar was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 14 points.

Escondido Charter pushed their record up to 19-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.8 points. As for Classical Academy, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Escondido Charter will welcome Santa Fe Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Classical Academy, they will host Pacific Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Classical Academy is facing Pacific Ridge at the right time seeing as Pacific Ridge is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
