Football Recap: Huron Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Huron played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 42-14 defeat at the hands of the Saline Hornets. While losing is never fun, the River Rats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Hornets are ranked tenth).

Brandon Willis threw for 154 yards and two TDs. Nick Ashford was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards and one score.

Saline found their leader in sophomore Trae Foster, who threw for 188 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punched in a pair of TDs on the ground.

Huron's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Saline, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Coming up, Huron will venture away from home to square off against Bedford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saline, they will welcome Harper Woods at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Hornets 12.7, the Pioneers 10.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
