Softball Game Preview: Independence Mustangs vs. Clear Creek-Amana Clippers

Independence hasn't had much luck against Clear Creek-Amana recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Clippers. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Independence made easy work of South Tama County and carried off a 13-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, Clear Creek-Amana faced Cedar Falls in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Clippers had just enough and edged out the Tigers 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Clippers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 11-23. As for Clear Creek-Amana, their win bumped their record up to 27-8-1.
