Football Recap: Dobson Piles Up the Points Against Browne

The matchup between Dobson and Browne on Friday hardly resembled the 15-11 effort from their previous meeting. The Mustangs took their matchup with ease, bagging a 49-21 victory over the Bruins. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

A big part of Dobson's win came down to the chemistry between Preston Brunsvold and his top target Joriyn Winston. Brunsvold threw for 115 yards and a pair of TDs while Winston picked up 65 receiving yards and two scores. The dominant performance also gave Brunsvold a new career-high in passing touchdowns (two).

Browne's loss came despite strong showings from Frankie Hernandez and Andres Sotomayor. Hernandez rushed for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Sotomayor picked up 85 receiving yards and one TD.

Dobson's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Browne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Dobson will welcome Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Browne, they will head out to face off against Willow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
