Baseball Recap: Warrior Run Defenders vs. Wellsboro Hornets
With a playoff win on the line, Warrior Run rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Wellsboro Hornets. For the Defenders, this counts as revenge for the 10-4 win the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2019.
Griffen Harrington made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Wellsboro, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 14 games and leaves them with a 18-3 record.
