Jackson County extended their winning streak  to six  on Friday, bumping them up to 7-1. They blew past the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs 57-13. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six contests by 23  points or more  so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jackson County to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Daylan Maxwell, who rushed for 224 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 44 receiving yards. Maxwell was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards. Another back making a difference was  Jayson Lee, who rushed for 125 yards and a pair of  scores on only 13 carries.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Jackson County was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 395  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Special teams also played a big role in the game for Jackson County, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Mason Allen, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
As for Winder-Barrow, they now  have a losing record of 4-5. The  game marked their lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Winder-Barrow's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Westley Booth, who threw for 186 yards and two  TDs. The Bulldoggs also got a significant boost from  Demetrius Dowdy, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 131 yards.
 Jackson County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  45-8  win against Loganville on the 24th. As for Winder-Barrow, they will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clarke Central at 7:30  p.m.  on  the 30th.
