Football Recap: Alden-Conger Piles Up the Points Against Bethlehem Academy

While Alden-Conger put up plenty of points on Saturday, the same can't be said for Bethlehem Academy. The Knights took their contest with ease, bagging a 56-0 victory over the Cardinals. That looming 56-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Darin Linn was his usual excellent self, rushing for 189 yards and three TDs on only ten carries, while also picking up 77 receiving yards and one score. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Kaiden Farris was another key player, rushing for 50 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Alden-Conger was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 297 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 165 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Alden-Conger didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Farris led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Trent Ignaszewski got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Alden-Conger's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Bethlehem Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
