Basketball Recap: Northern Potter Takes a Loss

Northern Potter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oswayo Valley Green Wave. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since January 12, 2024.

Northern Potter's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Oswayo Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Potter will square off against Cameron County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oswayo Valley, they will face off against Port Allegany at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oswayo Valley's defense has only allowed 23.8 points per game this season, so Port Allegany's offense will have their work cut out for them.
