Basketball Game Preview: Westmont Warriors vs. Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit Lions

The Westmont Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Westmont's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Westmont will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Pioneer, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Westmont rang in the new year with a 41-31 victory over Pioneer on Saturday. 41 seems to be a good number for the Warriors as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They really took it to KIPP Navigate College Prep for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-10 victory. The Lions pushed the score to 49-8 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had no chance of recovering from.

Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit pushed their record up to 1-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39.9 points. As for Westmont, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
