Basketball Recap: Liberty Snags Ninth Win in Last 11 Games

Liberty extended their postseason success on Thursday against Lompoc. They secured a 44-40 W over the Lompoc Braves. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 44-38 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Liberty's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jannah Davis, who shot 40% from the field en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Carter, who posted four points and five boards.

Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tara Terrones, who earned seven points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Baird, who had five points and eight boards.

Liberty is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. Lompoc dropped their record down to 14-16 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Liberty has already played their next contest, a 49-40 victory against Shafter on the 1st. Lompoc does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
