Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Whitney Pioneers vs. Farmersville Aztecs

Mt. Whitney and Farmersville are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The two teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mt. Whitney saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 38-27 to Orosi. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Pioneers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while the Cardinals are ranked 979th).

Meanwhile, Farmersville took a blow against Central Valley Christian on Thursday, falling 49-22. The contest marked the Aztecs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Farmersville now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Mt. Whitney, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Mt. Whitney beat Farmersville 43-32 in their previous meeting on Friday. Does Mt. Whitney have another victory up their sleeve, or will Farmersville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
