Baseball Recap: Unity Christian Takes a Loss

Unity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Cornerstone Christian Eagles, falling 17-10. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 back in March.

Hayden Darnell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jax Huskins, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Unity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Cornerstone Christian, their record now sits at 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity Christian will challenge Hearts Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will square off against Pineview Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
