Soccer Game Preview: Banning vs. Hamilton

The Banning Pilots will take on the Hamilton Yankees at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Banning is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand North Hollywood a 1-0 shutout. The result kept Banning happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 21st.

Meanwhile, Hamilton was able to grind out a solid win over Taft on Friday, taking the game 3-1.

Merced Aguilar Lopez and Brianna Arter scored all three of the Yankees' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Banning is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those six matches. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 11-10-3.
