Softball Recap: Marlow Comes Up Short

Marlow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Mangum Tigers, falling 9-1.

Lakyn Foss made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Grace Lovelady was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Marlow's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Mangum, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Marlow will take on Little Axe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mangum, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Binger-Oney at 10:20 a.m. on Thursday.
