Softball Game Preview: Arvada West Wildcats vs. Lakewood Tigers

The Arvada West Wildcats will take on the Lakewood Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lakewood took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Arvada West, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Arvada West was able to grind out a solid win over Ralston Valley, taking the game 7-4. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Lakewood entered their matchup against Chatfield on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tigers fell 5-1 to the Chargers. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lakewood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucy Retzer, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Arvada West's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.
