Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Verde Mustangs vs. Liberty Bison

Having just played yesterday, the Rancho Verde Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Liberty Bison at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Rancho Verde, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Rancho Verde was fully in charge, breezing past Orange Vista 55-23. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against Hemet, falling 56-28. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1109th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 328th).

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Rancho Verde, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.

Everything came up roses for Rancho Verde against Liberty in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the team secured a 58-22 victory. In that contest, Rancho Verde amassed a halftime lead of 30-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
