Trego relied on the efforts of Jack Conness, who gained 194 total yards and two touchdowns, and Ashton Wynn, who rushed for 73 yards and four TDs. That's the most rushing touchdowns Wynn has posted since back in October of 2024. Vladon Crawford got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Another reason for the win was Trego's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Conness, Cass Smith, and Jared Aschenbrenner, who each picked up one sack apiece. Meanwhile, Kiowa County took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 52-6 victory over Kinsley. That's two games straight that the Mavericks have won by exactly 46 points.

Kiowa County now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Trego, their record is now 9-0.
