Softball Recap: Pius X Comes Up Short

If Pius X was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Ralston on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Thunderbolts fell just short of the Rams by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. The Thunderbolts were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Kendal Heimes made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Cali Meents was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Pius X's loss dropped their record down to 15-18. As for Ralston, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Pius X nor Ralston have any future games scheduled.
