Soccer Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus entered their contest against Carrollton on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Columbus Blue Devils lost 4-0 to the Carrollton Trojans. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Blue Devils it sure didn't stay that way.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Carrollton, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Columbus and Carrollton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Columbus (ranked 48th) will meet Jordan (ranked 267th) at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbus will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Carrollton will square off against Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 256 places (25 vs. 281).
